Edn Boards to announce HSC results independently

This year, the Education Boards of the country have adopted a new system for announcing the results of the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations. Unlike previous years, there will be no central result announcement event. Instead, each education board will release the results independently.

According to officials from the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, the HSC and equivalent exam results are set to be published on October 15.

Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee Chairman, Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, confirmed the change, stating, “There will be no central event this year. Each education board will announce its results separately.”

Despite the procedural changes, students will still be able to access their results through the same methods as previous years, including via SMS, the respective education board websites, and their educational institutions.

For over two decades, the exam results summary has been traditionally handed over to the Prime Minister in a central event, with education board chairpersons, ministers, and other officials present. However, this year, that practice has been discontinued.

A total of 1,450,790 students participated in the HSC and equivalent exams, which began on June 30, 2024. The exams were interrupted multiple times, including on July 18 due to the quota reform movement, leading to the rescheduling of several exam dates.

The new decentralized approach marks a significant shift in the results announcement process, but students and educators alike will still have access to the results through established channels.
