Education and Planning Adviser Prof Wahiduddin Mahmud has issued a stern warning against the use of force to secure resignations within educational institutions, cautioning that such actions could lead to administrative collapse.
Speaking at a ministry meeting on Sunday, Mahmud highlighted the risks of creating unrest through forced resignations, including potential disruptions in salary payments for teachers, officials, and staff.
Mahmud emphasised that all appointments and transfers within government educational institutions must adhere to established rules and regulations and that forced resignations are not an option. He stressed that action will be taken only in response to legitimate complaints against individuals holding positions in educational institutions.
In his address, Mahmud also called for a return to an orderly and respectful environment within schools, advocating for the restoration of appropriate teacher-student relationships and the maintenance of politeness in the classroom. He underscored the importance of avoiding personal insults and fostering a constructive educational atmosphere.
