Speakers at an event stressed promoting eco-friendly housing in the country for ensuring sustainable development.
The remarks came up at the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Al-Arafah Islami Bank PLC and Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI) aiming to foster sustainable and eco-friendly housing development in the country.
Director General of HBRI Md Ashraful Alam was present as the chief guest at the event, said a press release. Deputy Managing Director of the Bank Md Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury and Principal Research Engineer of HBRI Mohammad Parvez Khadem signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Head of Retail Banking Division of the Bank Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Head of Products & Propositions Saif Imam Bokhari, Gazi Mosthafizur Rahman and HBRI Project Officer Ahsan Habib, Senior Research Architect Monjur Parvez and other Senior Officials from both organizations were present in the ceremony.
As part of this agreement, AIBPLC clients will have access to HBRI's specialized sustainability compliance certificates for Climate Resilient Housing, Affordable Green Housing, and Green Building Features, facilitating the development of eco-friendly retail products, projects, and initiatives.
