There is an atmosphere to announce the schedule of the twelfth parliamentary election, and it will be held within the stipulated time, said Election Commission Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam.
The spokesperson of the EC told reporters at his office in the election building on Wednesday that preparations have been made and it is possible to announce the schedule of the twelfth parliamentary elections in the second week of November.
In this regard, the CEC has repeatedly said that "there is an atmosphere to announce the election schedule, and the CEC is determined to hold the elections within the stipulated time."
Md. Jahangir Alam also said, 'The 12th Parliament election is imminent. Elections should be organized within the stipulated time as per the constitution. The Commission will pay a courtesy call on the President. In continuation of this, the meeting is scheduled for Thursday. In that case the President will be informed about all the progress related to the election preparations. If the President has suggestions and instructions regarding the preparation, the Commission will listen to him.
After that, the EC has scheduled a meeting with the DC, SPs on November 10 and 11 and then launch of the election management app.
The EC has informed the registered political parties about the overall preparations for the polls. The commission meeting will be called to finalize the possible dates of the polls by arranging the appointment of returning officer, assistant returning officer and other matters. CEC will announce the schedule by addressing the nation through television and radio. Everything is being done as a constitutional body organizing elections for free, fair, impartial, participatory and acceptable elections.
Various types of election equipment are already reaching the district election offices. Indelible ink and stamp pads will also arrive within a day or two. If all goes well, the EC wants to end the voting in the first week of January itself. That is why the CEC is now busy preparing its speech and informal discussions among themselves.
The EC also urged all the parties to participate in the polls and said that everyone wants elections, the people want elections. Voting will be held in the last week of December or the first week of January.
