The faculty of Engineering and Technology (E&T), Eastern University (EU) arranged a graduation lunch for their graduates on Wednesday at a restaurant in the capital.
Prominent scientist Professor Dr M Kaykobad was present as the chief guest.
45 graduates participated at the graduation lunch. The programme was chaired by Professor Dr Mahfuzur Rahman, dean, Engineering and Technology.
Liaquat Hossain Moghul, chairman of the board of trustees (BoT) of EU was present at the occasion to congratulate the students on their successful completion of Graduation.
In his speech, Liaquat Hossain Moghul encouraged and wished the students well in their future endeavors.
Former chairman and current member of BoT Abul Khayer Chowdhury, BOT Member SK Saydur Rahman, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Shahid Akhtar Hossain, Professor Dr Aminul Hoque, Advisor, Faculty of E&T, Professor Dr Mirza Goalm Rabbani, head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and other distinguished guests were present among others.
The faculty of E&T is the second largest faculty of EU in terms of number of students. At present it has two departments: Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
