Sharing on e-service campaign marking the birth centennial of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman began in Jhenidah on Tuesday.
With the slogan ‘Village turning urban when services expanding’, the sharing was inaugurated at Maharajpur Union Parishad under Jhenaidah Sadar upazila by the union digital centre in a simple ceremony.
Presided over by Chairman of Maharajpur Union Parishad Khurshid Alam, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Jhenaidah Saroj Kumar Nath attended the event as the chief guest. Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Arif Uz Zaman and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Jhenidah Sadar Badruddoza Subho attended as special guests.
The chief guest in his speech said the government had ensured arrival of all modernized and digitalized facilities at the doorsteps of the people ensuring electronic services for each and every activity.
The people irrespective of cast, creed, gender and political ideology should come forward to receive the services staying at homes or doorsteps to avail the same facilities available in the urban. The services will save time and money and labour of the people and remove the gap between the rural and urban gradually. He called upon the people to discriminate the information among the local people so that they might receive better services form their respective local e-service centres whenever they need.
