Durjoy Roy, who has been working as Joint News Editor of Bangladesh Post; has become Executive Editor of the national English daily.
An office order was issued in this regard on November 14. Acting Editor of Bangladesh Post ASM A Khaleque issued the office order where it was said that Durjoy Roy will perform the duty of Executive Editor in addition to his normal duty.
In the same office order, it was also said that Ahammad Parvez Khan, a member of Bangladesh Post team, will act as Business Editor of the daily.
“This is a temporary arrangement until further notice for smooth functioning of the newspaper,” reads the office order.
Before joining the Bangladesh Post in 2019, Durjoy Roy had worked in different national dailies as a dedicated and professional journalist.
He performed the duty of chief reporter in The Daily Sun and The Independent. Born in Mymensingh, Durjoy Roy graduated in Mass Communication and Journalism from Dhaka University.
He also obtained his master’s degree in the same subject from the university. He passed SSC from Uthura High School at Bhaluka in Mymensingh. He passed his HSC from Notre Dame College, Dhaka.
