Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman has left Dhaka on Wednesday for Kathmandu, Nepal on a 4-day official visit to attend the 45th Convocation of Tribhuvan University (TU) as the chief guest. The Convocation was held on Thursday.
Prime Minister of Nepal and Chancellor of Tribhuvan University KP Sharma Oli presided over the Convocation function while Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman was present there as the chief guest. The convocation function was also addressed by TU VC Professor Dr Dharma K Baskota.
TU authorities hoped that DU Vice-Chancellor’s visit to Tribhuvan University would provide impetus to explore possibilities of collaboration and cooperation for academic enhancement of both DU and TU.
DU VC is expected to return home today. Dhaka University Pro-Vc (Academic) Professor Dr Nasreen Ahmad in addition to her duties discharged the routine works of the VC during Professor Akhtaruzzaman’s visit to Nepal.
