Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman called upon the students to work hard to fulfill the expectations of the families, societies and nation.
The VC was addressing as chief guest at the orientation programme of 1st year Honours students of different institutes, different departments under the Faculty of Pharmacy and the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences of Dhaka University (DU) on Sunday at TSC auditorium. Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office of DU organized the programme.
Director of Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office Professor Dr Mahjabeen Haque presided over the programme while Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Professor Dr SM Abdur Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences Professor Dr ASM Maksud Kamal and Director of the Institute of Education and Research Professor Syeda Tahmina Akhter addressed it as special guests. Directors of different institutes, Chairmen and Students Advisors of different departments were present on this occasion.
Professor Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to be aware of their potentialities and protect academic life from harmful things. They must earn self dignity and follow the right path in their daily activities, the VC added.
