Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman has been invited by the Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University (TU), Nepal to attend as the chief guest the 45th Convocation of TU to be held on December 19. Ambassador of Nepal to Bangladesh Dr. Banshidhar Mishra called on DU VC on Monday at the latter’s office of the university and handed over the invitation letter signed by TU VC Prof. Dr. Dharma K. Baskota.
Nepalese Ambassador Dr. Banshidhar Mishra informed DU VC that Prime Minister of Nepal would preside over the 45th TU Convocation as the Chancellor of TU. DU Vice-Chancellor’s visit to Tribhuvan University would provide impetus to explore possibilities of collaboration and cooperation for academic enhancement of both DU and TU, he opined.
DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the Nepal Ambassador and TU authorities for inviting him to attend TU Convocation as the chief guest. He said, Bangladesh and Nepal are two friendly countries and both the countries have been enjoying good relations for a long time. Many Nepalese students are pursuing higher education at different medical colleges and universities in Bangladesh especially at DU, he pointed out.
