Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman said gender equality and inclusive participation must be ensured in all branches of science and education. Only then will we succeed in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals and the society will be more enlightened.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the concluding ceremony of the workshop titled ‘Gender and Inclusive Pedagogies Package Development’
organised by Dhaka University Institute of Education and Research on Saturday (November 27). Later, the Vice-Chancellor inaugurated Learning Management System (LMS).
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman said there is no substitute for global partnership in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Dhaka University must take the lead in ensuring global partnership in various fields including social development, economic prosperity and cultural development.
The Vice-Chancellor further said that if the educational activities of the university come to a halt, the society will be harmed so we have to keep the educational activities going on at all times. The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that LMS would play a helpful role in keeping the education activities going.
Professor of Education and Research Institute Dr M Ahiduzzaman presided over the ceremony while, Muhammad Ali Jinnah thanked. The day-long workshop was attended by teachers of the institute and representatives of various organizations and institutions.
