Under the banner of Anti-Discrimination discrimination Movement, a day-long “mass relief collection event” was held to help flood victims amid the sudden floods sweeping across the country on the third day.

Visiting the campus area, it has been seen that several students of Dhaka University, volunteers of anti-discrimination students’ movement and irrespective people of all ages have been working tirelessly for the flood victims, including TSC and around campus.

It should be mentioned that thousands of people, including children, have been seen working at TSC for the stranded people.

Besides, they set up booths at the TSC auditorium to raise relief and small donations for the flood victims, where several hundred people have been seen to donate.

Talking to a man named Rahman, who has come from Moghbazar to donate clothes and small help, he said, “As a citizen of the country, it is my responsibility to stay with the helpless people. That's why I have come here with small aid.”

Besides, a woman named Samina told this correspondent, “I have come from Mirbagh to donate some dry foods for the flood victims.  We should stand with those who have lost everything due to the flood. So, if our people come forward to help them, their loneliness will end soon.”
