The results of the Higher Secondary Examination of the students eager to be admitted in the 1st Year (Honors) class in the 2021-2022 academic year have already been published and the students are mentally preparing to participate in the admission test in the existing five units as before.
Therefore, decision has been taken to hold admission test in 'Gha' or 'D unit only for 2021-2022 academic year.
The decision was taken at a special meeting of the general admissions committee held at Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate building on Wednesday afternoon.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof M Akhtaruzzaman presided over the meeting.

In the light of the decision of the special meeting of the previous general admission committee held on February 7, the admission test for the 1st year (Honors) class from the next 2022-2023 academic year will be held through the reorganized four units.
The reorganized four units of the admission test include Arts, Law and Social Science unit, Science Unit, Business Studies unit and Fine Arts unit.
It is to be noted that the students eager to be admitted in the Science and Business Studies unit will have the opportunity to participate in the admission test in the ‘Arts, Law and Social Sciences’ unit to change the department or unit.
In addition, students of Humanities section will be able to take exams in Mathematics, Statistics or Economics and Accounting, with the admission test in the Arts, Law and Social Sciences unit for admission in the subjects of Science or Commerce.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof ASM Maqsood Kamal, Treasurer Prof Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Deans of different faculties, chairmen of different departments and directors of different institutes were present during this time.
