The silver jubilee ceremony of the Department of Theater and Performance Science Studies of Dhaka University (DU) and the inauguration of 14th annual central drama festival will be held tomorrow at 6pm at the Student-Teachers Center (TSC) auditorium.
The 10 day long festival will showcase 17 dramas directed by the teachers and students of the department.
Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Dr Kazi Shahidullah will be present as the chief guest while the function will be inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor (VC) of DU Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman. Pro VC (administration) of DU Professor Dr Muhammad Samad and Dean of the Faculty of Arts Professor Dr Abu Md Delowar Hossain will be present as special guests. Chairman of Theater and Performance Dance Studies Dr Ahmedul Kabir will chair the event.
