Dhaka University (DU) branch of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BSL) and general students have expressed their solidarities with the Palestinian people. As part of the solidarity, they brought out a procession on the DU campus starting from Madhu’s Canteen at 3:00pm.
At the procession, the participants chanted various slogans demanding stopping war in Palestine and killing of people there by the Israeli military.Besides, a significant number of other students under a banner of ‘General Students’ of Dhaka University also stood beside the people of Palestine by expressing their solidarities.
They also brought out another procession at TSC on the campus.
One of the students who participated at the procession said they have stood beside the Pale4stinians like the students across the globe.
The Gaza–Israel conflict is a localized part of the Israel Palestinian conflict beginning in 1948, when 200,000 Palestinian were expelled from their homes, settling in the Gaza strips as refugees.
Since then, Israel has fought 15 wars against the Gaza Strip. The number of Gazans reportedly killed in the most recent 2023 to 2024 and the killing mission is also on going.
So, to prevent it, various countries have stood to stop it. And to show solidarity, Du students also have been taking part with.
