The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have rescheduled the honours first-year admission test under the 2020-21 academic session considering the worsening situation of covid-19.
The decision came from an emergency meeting of the Admission test committee held virtually on Thursday with Vice-chancellor Prof Md Aktharuzzaman in the chair.
A statement signed by Director of Public Relations Office, DU, Mahmud Alam said about the meeting.
The statement said, “The admission test for the ‘Ka’ unit will be held on August 6, the ‘Kha’ unit on August 7, the ‘Ga’ unit on August 13, and the ‘Gha’ unit on August 14.” The admission seekers will be able to download admit cards by July 10 and 30 minutes before the exam dates. Other directives and conditions relevant to the examinations will remain unchanged.
Earlier, the admission test for the Ka unit was scheduled to begin on May 21, the “Kha” unit on May 22, the "Ga" unit on May 27, the "Gha" unit on May 28, and the "Cha" unit test on June 5. Now, the ‘Cha’ unit test is rescheduled to begin on July 31.
Pro-VC (Administration) Prof Mohammad Samad, Pro-VC (Academic) Prof A S M Maksud Kamal, Treasurer Prof Mamtaz Uddin Ahmad, Convenor of the online admission test committee Prof Md Mostafizur Rahman, deans, provosts, and chairmen of the departments were present in the meeting.
