Dhaka University has officially inaugurated the Research Coordination and Monitoring Cell (RCMC) at an event held on Monday. The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. M. Akhtaruzzaman, presided over the opening ceremony, which took place at the Center for Advanced Research in Sciences (CARS) building.
The RCMC, under the leadership of its director, Professor Dr. Syed Shahadat Hossain, hosted various dignitaries at the event, including Dr. A. S. M. Maqsud Kamal, the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education). Deans of different faculties, heads of various departments, directors of institutes, faculty members, and relevant stakeholders were also present.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. M. Akhtaruzzaman expressed that the establishment of this center aims to strengthen the university's position in the realm of education and research by fostering collaborations with renowned universities worldwide. The center's focus on coordinating research, raising research funds, and ensuring equal participation from individuals and organizations will contribute to an enriched research environment.
Dr. A. S. M. Maqsud Kamal, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education), emphasized that the RCMC will play a vital role in energizing research activities at Dhaka University. He stressed the importance of coordinating research efforts across all university institutions to accelerate the pace of research and innovation, benefiting the nation and the world.
