The Dhaka University authorities have installed a National Identity Card (NID) registration centre for its students on Thursday at TSC.
Dhaka University Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated the centre as the chief guest.
The university authorities took the initiative to bring students under Covid-19 vaccination providing NID card on emergency basis.
The service will continue till October 15.
Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman said that authorities installed the centre to provide NID card on an emergency basis to our students who have yet to take the Covid-19 vaccine for the card. We contacted with Election Commission on this regard.
The vice-chancellor thanked Election Commission authorities for co-operating to install the centre.
DU Pro Vice-chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Mohammad Samad, Treasurer Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, Director General of National Identity Registration Wing of the Election Commission AKM Humayun Kabir were present at the programme.
