Dhaka University (DU) celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award in the university premises on Thursday, 5 September.
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman addressed the celebration function as chief guest. Director of Student Counseling and Guidance Office of DU Professor Dr Mahjabeen Haque presided over the programme while Secretary General of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation John May addressed it as the guest of honor.
Chairman of Board of Trustees of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation A K Shamsuddin Khan, Member Rizwan Bin Farouq and Award Leader Mizanur Rahman also addressed the programme.
Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman thanked the authorities of Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation for giving awards to DU students. He said, “DU students have been highly benefited and encouraged by this programme of Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation. This award programme is playing an important role to develop communication and management skills as well as behavior and attitude of the students”.
