The admission tests for first-year undergraduate programs at Dhaka University (DU) for the 2024-25 academic year will begin on January 4. This decision was made during a meeting of the university's General Admission Committee on Monday.
The test for the Fine Arts unit is scheduled for January 4, while the Arts, Law, and Social Sciences unit test will take place on January 25. The Science unit test is set for February 1, and the Business Studies unit test will be held on February 8. Additionally, the admission test for the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) has been moved to January 3 due to the World Ijtema event.
The application process for the DU admission tests will open on November 4 at 12pm and close on November 25 at 11:59pm. The application fee has been set at Tk1,050.
Initially, the university proposed to begin the tests on January 25. However, due to the upcoming World Ijtema, two tests, including the IBA test, have been rescheduled to earlier dates. Students interested in applying are encouraged to submit their applications within the given time frame. The rescheduled tests were organized to avoid clashes with the religious event.
