This budget was unanimously approved in the fifteenth corporation meeting of the second council of Dhaka South City Corporation at Mayor Hanif Auditorium of Nagar Bhaban on July 26. Besides, the revised budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 was also approved in that meeting.
The revised budget of South City for the fiscal year 2021-22 was Tk 1,923 crore. Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has announced the budget of the last two fiscal years since assuming the post of mayor. This is his third budget announcement since assuming office. In the budget of the fiscal year 2022-23, the initial status of the income portion has been estimated at Tk 593.69 crore, revenue income at Tk 1208.70 crore, other income at Tk 57.80 crore, government wholesale and special allocation at Tk 65 crore and total income from government and foreign sources at Tk 4816 crore. 09 crores.
According to sources of Dhaka South City Corporation, the revised budget of 2021-22 financial year has been approved in the last corporation meeting of Tk 1 thousand 923 crores. The budget announced for the financial year 2021-22 was Tk 6 thousand 731 crore 52 lakh. Apart from this, a budget of Tk 6 thousand 119 crore 56 lakh was announced for the financial year 2020-21. In continuation of this, the organization announced a budget of Tk 6 thousand 741 crore 28 lakh for the financial year 2022-23.
