The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) nabbed a drug vendor and seized 347 pieces of Yaba pills from Barabazer area of Kaliganj upazila in Jheniadiah on Sunday night.
RAB-6 company commander Shafiqur Rahman said as a part of their anti-drug drives, the elite force have conducted drives near the sawmills owned by some Habibur Rahman at Barobazer on Jhenidah-Jasshore highway at about 8.00pm on Sunday.
They arrested Sohag Khan, 25, son of Motahar Hossain Khan of village Krigram Dakkhinpara in Narail and seized 347 pieces of yaba pills. Theu also seized other items from the said drug vendor.
The drug vendor was engaged in smuggling the contra banned for a long time and selling the same among the young generation at various parts of south-western districts.
The arrested and the seized Yaba were deposited to Kaliganj police station after filing case.
