Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) detained a person with 50 grams of cannabis, 50,000 kyats (currency of Myanmar), two mobile phones and a Myanmar SIM from East Para of Saint Martin on Wednesday, says a press release issued by the BCG.
Acting on a tip-off, members of Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested a drug dealer on raw hand for selling drug at the East Coast of Saint Martin.
The detainee was identified as Rubel, 20, son of late Abdur Rashid, hailed from Hajirpara area of Ramganj Police Station in Lakshmipur district.
However, the detainee drug dealer has long been involved in the drug trade in various areas of St. Martin's.
The detained drug dealers and the seized goods are in the process of being transferred to the Teknaf Police Station for further legal action.
