A team of RAB-4 have arrested a drug trader with a firearms and 500 pcs of Yaba by conducting a drive at municipality area in Savar, on outskirts of the capital on Wednesday night.
The arrestee was identified as Plabon 25, of Dakkhin Para area of Savar. Plabon is a student of Savar University College and organizing secretary of Savar College Chattra League committee.
Mojammel Haque, Additional DIG of RAB-4 confirmed the matter. He said a team of RAB-4 led by ASP Naresh Chakma was conducted a drive at the drug trader’s house around 11am of Wednesday at Savar Dakkhin Para area based on secret information and arrest him. The team of RAB-4 searched and found 500 pcs of Yaba and a firearm from his house.
Plabon is also accused of another drug case, he added.
Preparation for further legal action against him are underway, the official said.
