A suspected drug peddler was stabbed to death at Merul Badda area in the capital on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Nasir, 35, a resident of Jhilpar area.
Officer-in-Charge of Badda Police Station Rafiqul Islam said drug addict Arif stabbed Nasir at one stage of altercation, leaving him seriously injured.
Critically injured Nasir was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where the on-duty doctor declared him dead around 10:30 pm.
The body was sent to DMCH morgue. A case was filed in this connection. Police, however, arrested Arif.
