Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) detained a drug peddler from Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazaar in the early hours on Saturday, said a press release.
Acting on a tip-off, members of the BCG conducted a drive at Cheradeep under Saint Martin's area. During the drive, they found 10000 pieces of yaba pills from a shopping bag and detained the drug peddler from that area.
The detainee was identified as Hamid Hussain, 30, son of late Kasim, hailed from Domdomia under Teknaf Police Station of Cox's Bazaar district. Media officer of BCG east zone Lt. Shah Zia confirmed the matter.
Later, yaba pills and detainee was handed over to Teknaf Police Station.
