Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 970 ampules of Indian buprenorphine injection from Koilabari under Shibganj upazila in Chaipainawabganj on Wednesday.
The arrestee was identified as Md Quddus, 25, of Namochakpara village under Shahbajpur union of Shibganj upazila.
On information, an operation team of the RAB-5 from Chapainawabganj camp raided Koilabari Batulpara area in the morning and nabbed Quddus with the ampules of injection worth about Taka 1.94 lakh, RAB sources said.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of Shibganj Police Station. A case was filed with the police station in this connection.
