Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an anti-crime drive, arrested an alleged drug peddler with two kilograms of heroin in Chapainawabganj district Tuesday midnight.
The arrested was identified as Bazlur Rahman, 47, son of late Abul Hossain of Malbagdanga village under Sadar upazila in Chapainawabganj district.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a sudden raid in the residence of Bazlur and recovered the contraband drugs and arrested him.
A case was recorded with the Sadar Police Station in this connection and the arrested person along with the seized contraband item was handed over to the police.
