A father who was stabbed with injuries allegedly caused by his son, died on Friday at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
The deceased was identified Billal Sheikh, permanent resident of Pachok village under Noria upazila of Shariatpur district and lived at Kadom Rasul area under Bandar upazila in Narayanganj. Police had already been captured slain Billal’s son Bappi Sheikh. Billal’s younger brother Helal Sheikh filed a murder case with Bandar police station accusing Bappi Sheikh.
It was learned that Bappi stabbed indiscriminately his father Billal Sheikh and step-mother Amena Begum on September 24 morning. Relatives recovered both the injured and sent to DMCH where Amena Begum still remains undergoing treatment.
Officer in charge of Bandar police station Dipok Chandra Shaha told that accused had already been captured so the motive of the incident would be unearthed easily.
On the other hand, unknown criminals slaughtered a battery run auto-rickshaw driver and looted the rickshaw on Friday night at Purbachal area under Rupganj upazila. The ill-fated driver was identified as Ridoy Mia of Taora village of Rupganj upazila. Officer in charge of Rupganj police station AFM Sayed Alam said that the drive is going on to arrest the accused. A murder case was filed in this regard.
