Dr Waliuzzaman Foundation, in Shailkupa has been selecting scholars for yearly stipend. To select a total of 50 students, the organization will select five on merit basis one every 25 December. Each and every selected scholar will be provided with have a certificate, crest and cash for next one year.
Dr. Waliuzzaman Foundation chairman, also the energy advisor of the consumers association of Bangladesh (CAB) Dr. Shamsul Alam said they will select 50 scholars of which five will be selected in merit basis.
The scholars will be selected from each and every union and the municipal area. 45 scholars will be provided a certificate, crest and Taka 12 hundred for next year, while remaining five scholars a certificate, crest and Taka 15 hundred. The stipend will be ensured for next one year. A total of 430 students have been sitting for the stipend this year.
Abide showing respect to scientist Dr. Waliuzzaman, the students will practice to compete in various examinations with confidence. The stipends is organized on March 15 afternoon at Shailkupa government degree college premises in presence of thousands of people, specially, learned, and the guardians of the children.
The foundation also honours a personality belongs to Shaikupa upapzila of Jhenaidah contributing in education, social work or similar activities, Dr. Shamsul Alam said.
