Prof Md Selim Uddin has been re-appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bangladesh House Building Finance Corporation (BHBFC). Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance issued a notice in this regard on Tuesday.
Prof Selim Uddin is also the Chairman of the Executive Committee of Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. Before joining the BHBFC, he served as a director of Rupali Bank Ltd. He was also director of Rupali Investment Ltd., Premier Bank Ltd. and Chittagong Stock Exchange.
Dr Selim was born in an aristocratic Muslim family in Daulatpur village under Fatikchhari upazila of Chattogram.
He joined the accounting department of Chittagaong University after obtaining a master's degree with first place in the 1st class from the accounting department of the same university.
Dr. Selim is a Certified Accountant and a Fellow of ICAB, ICMAB and CIPFA, UK. He has published more than 60 articles nationally and internationally. He also presented essays at various meetings and seminars at home and abroad, gaining work experience in different countries as part of his career.
