Special donation cheques on behalf of Bangladesh National Social Welfare Council were distributed in Noakhlai on Wednesday among the students who were injured during the anti-discriminatory student movement.
The cheques were distributed among the injured students and their families at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday noon.
The initiative was arranged by the District Council and District Social Welfare Council office. Cheques of Tk 3,18,000 were distributed among 74 people at that time. Among them who received the cheques, there were six students who were injured during the anti-discriminatory student movement, families who were affected by the movement and other sick and talented students.
Assistant Director of District Social Welfare Council, Mohammad Shahi Newaz, presided over the programme. Noakhlai Deputy Commissioner Dewan Mahbub attended the programme as the chief guest.
