The Ministry of Land on Monday issued a public notice, urging all not get confused by fake news or rumours on passing of Land Crime Prevention and Remedy Act and issuance of gazette in this regard.
"Fake news or rumours are appearing on different social media sites and internet, saying, 'Land Crime Prevention and Remedy Act has been passed and gazette has been issued'. A fake gazette is also being shared online. Such fake news or rumours are leaving adverse effects on people's mind and creating confusion, which is totally unwarranted," said the notice, signed by ministry spokesperson Syed Md Abdullah Al Nahiyan.
The ministry added that the process of preparing and approving the act is going on.
It recommended all to dial helpline 16122 or +8809612316122 or login on the ministry's service page Bhumiseba Land Service', its Facebook page (www.facebook.com/land.gov.bd ), commenting there or sending messages, to know any land related information, getting services or filing their complaints.
