Documentary ‘Corona Kal’ premiered at Star Cineplex

State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan said, ‘The government as well as all the people of the country have the credit for saving the world from the scourge of Corona’. He said that from the very beginning, the government was aware of the need to prevent corona, was trying its best to prevent rumors and was cooperating to ensure necessary services and facilities. He was speaking at the premiere show of the documentary 'Corona Kal' directed by Priota Iftekhar, produced by CDC and Sefinet, at the Star Cineplex of Senakalyan Bhaban at noon.

Meanwhile, Shah Ali Farhad, special advisor to the prime minister, said that the pandemic is not over yet. However, due to the foresight of the Prime Minister, we are ahead in preventing corona as we got the vaccine in the first step. He also said that even if you get vaccinated, you must be careful. He also said that the habit of adhering to social distance, wearing masks and washing hands with soap and water should be practiced regularly.

The video was created and exhibited in a joint effort by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the South-East Asia Field Epidemiology and Technology Network (SafetyNet) for about eight months.

The entire audience congratulated ‘The Flag Girl’ and its director Priota Iftekhar for producing this excellent documentary. They also applauded the film team for beautifully presenting the stories and emotions of the Corona period through engaging stories and images. For the last one year, Bangladesh has been fighting against the Corona epidemic. The CDC and SafetyNet thanked the warriors for their tireless efforts and sacrifices. “The lessons we have learned from this epidemic must be preserved for future epidemics. It is for this purpose that the documentary has been made which will serve as a guide for the future’, says producer Priota Iftekhar.

‘Corona Kal’ tells the story of 7 people, all caught up in the pandemic in their own ways.
