Juba League organised a milad and doa mahfil at Porahati union under Jhenaidah Sadar upazila marking the August 21 grenade attack. The organizers also distributed sweetmeats among the participants after the milad mahfil.
Union unit Juba League president Iktiar Uddin, Juba League district unit convener Ashfaq Mahmud John, Sadar upapzila unit convener Shah Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, pora unit convener Abdullah Al Mamun among others remain present.
A few hundred activists of ruling Awami League, youth wing Juba League, workers unit Sramik League and farmers wing Krishak League were present. Union Juba League general secretary Babul Mahmud conducted the programme.
The milad mahfil prayed for the salvation of the Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina who also received severe injuries during the grenade attack.
The speakers in their concise speeches had demanded exemplary punishments to the attackers and plotters so that the miscreants might suffer the brunt of the mis- deeds.
