Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has formed a standing committee to monitor and control market prices. This committee will carry out monitoring in all the areas under Dhaka North City Corporation.
The committee called a special meeting to discuss how to expedite the work in the future. The special meeting was held at Dhaka North City Corporation's Gulshan Nagar Bhaban on Tuesday afternoon.
The meeting was chaired by Syed Hasan Nur Islam, chairman of the committee and councilor of ward 32 of DNCC. This information was confirmed to Bangladesh Post by Deputy Chief Revenue Officer of Dhaka North City Corporation and Member Secretary of the Committee Moniruzzaman Mridha.
The DNCC Deputy Chief Revenue Officer said, “The meeting discussed the market price monitoring of the areas under the DNCC, how to speed up the monitoring, what are the methods to be used to effectively monitor the market.” He added that at the same time, the market price monitoring will be done from the field level and various decisions in this regard have been discussed in this meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Syed Hasan Nur Islam, Ward Councilor No. 32 of DNCC and Moniruzzaman Mridha, Deputy Chief Revenue Officer of DNCC. Counselors of different wards under the DNCC were also present.
