Divisional Land Office’s week-long service begins today

The Mymensingh Divisional Land Office will offer immediate services to the public from June 8 to June 14. This initiative will cover 35 upazilas and 351 unions across four districts in the Mymensingh division, according to Additional Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) of Mymensingh, Tahmina Akhter.

At a press conference held on Thursday, in the Commissioner's conference room, Additional Divisional Commissioner Tahmina Akhter announced the service week. The event, themed "Smart Land Service, Smart Citizen," was also attended by the Deputy Director of the Local Government Department, the Deputy Collector of Revenue, the Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner of Lands, and journalists from print and electronic media.

Tahmina Akhter emphasized that Land Service Week aims to inform people about land-related services and provide immediate solutions to their problems. She likened this year's event to a fair, where issues will be addressed on the spot. Akhter highlighted the importance of digitisation in achieving smart land services and a smart Bangladesh. She noted that from now on, all land-related information and registration services will be accessible online via smartphones.

The speakers confirmed that Land Service Week will run from June 8 to June 14, covering 35 upazilas and 351 union land offices in the four districts of the division, including Mymensingh district.
