The annual general meeting of the American Council on Education was held at Washington DC in the USA recently bringing together academicians, leaders, presidents, and top management from different higher education institutions from across the world.
Md Sabur Khan, chairman, Daffodil International University (DIU) and the president of the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific participated in this global event.
He also attended the International Association of Universities Presidents board meeting in Washington DC.
During the event, Sabur Khan talked with Allan E Goodman, president of the Institute of International Education, and discussed potential strategies to foster international collaboration and create more global educational opportunities for students.
Sabur Khan also met two other outstanding leaders in education, James Kvaal, the current undersecretary of education minister of the USA, and Ted Mitchell, president of the American Council for Education, and former undersecretary of the Obama administration.
The 2023 ACE conference in Washington DC provided another opportunity for Sabur Khan to connect with both former and present IAUP presidents and the secretary general.
