A discussion on the occasion of International Right to Information Day was held in Chapainawabganj on Saturday.
The meeting was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner at 11:00am on the day.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ahmed Mahbub-Ul-Islam presided over the meeting. Acting Deputy Commissioner of the district Devendra Nath Urao was the chief guest at the meeting.
Additional Superintendent of Police Md Abul Kalam Sahid, Deputy Director of Chapainawabganj district office of Islamic Foundation Md Golam Mostofa, District Information Officer Md Abdul Ahad, Medical Officer of the district Civil Surgeon's office Dr Reshma Khatun, President of ‘Sacheton Nagorik Committee’ of the district Selina Begum, its member Advocate Saiful Islam Reza and others spoke at the discussion.
Area Coordinator of district unit of ‘Sacheton Nagorik Committee’, Md Shofiqul Islam, gave a presentation on the web portals of 76 government and private offices of Chapainawabganj at the meeting.
Chapainawabganj District Administration organised and district unit of ‘Sacheton Nagorik Committee’ assisted the discussion programme. Representatives of government offices, NGOs and others were present at the discussion.
