Netrakona district unit of Bangabandhu Parishad organised a discussion meeting on the occasion of the Homecoming Day of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Netrakona Press Club auditorium on Sunday evening.
Dr. Rafiqullah Khan, Vice-chancellor of Sheikh Hasina University attended the discussion meeting as the chief guest while, Shitangshu Bikash Acharjya, President of Netrakona Bar Association, Shyamalendu Paul, Press Club Secretary and others were present.
The meeting was presided over by Dr. Shawkat Ali Fakir, President of Netrokona Bangabandhu Parishad.
Chief Guest Dr. Rafiq Ullah khan said Bangabandhu’s Homecoming Day came this year with an extra significance as it coincided with Bangabandhu’s birth centenary celebrations.
All programmes marking the day were observed maintaining health guidelines in face of global Corona pandemic in the district.
