Bangladesh Journalist Welfare Trust has stood by the journalists of Chandpur as well as the whole country during the Corona period. The trust has provided grants to journalists in Chandpur on Monday.
This is the grant promised by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as an incentive for journalists in the Corona pandemic. Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, MP from Chandpur-3 constituency, distributed the grant cheques among journalists at her residence in Chandpur.
In the first phase Bangladesh Journalists' Welfare Trust provided a grant of Tk 10,000 for 50 journalists in Chandpur. Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni officially inaugurated the distribution activities by handing over checks to three journalists.
Chandpur DC Md. Majedur Rahman Khan, Civil Surgeon Dr Md. Sakhawat Ullah, ASP Kazi Abdur Rahim, ASP (Sadar Circle) Zahid Parvez Chowdhury, former President of Chandpur Press Club Kazi Shahadat and current Vice President Ghiyasuddin Milon were present at the time
Former president of the press club Golam Kibria Jibon, Shahid Patwari and member AK Azad received the cheques from the Education Minister. The program was conducted by AHM Ahsan Ullah, General Secretary of the Press Club.
