Dinajpur Journalists’ Union urges people, journalists to keep patience

Dinajpur Journalists’ Union urged the people of Dinjapur district, as well as the journalists of the organization, to keep patience. 

It was said at an emergency meeting of Dinajpur Journalists’ Union on Tuesday. The meeting was held at the temporary office of the organization at station road in Dinajpur town.

The speakers said that the obsequious journalists of Awami League government have maintained relationship with the party for 16 years. They enjoyed the benefits of their relationship with the party and accrued large amount of wealth by keeping the real journalists away. They urged the executive committee and all the journalists of Dinajpur Journalists’ Union to keep distance from the goons of Awami League, who are journalists only in name.

They urged the people of the district, including all the journalists of the Journalists’ Union, to keep patience. They advised everyone, as well as the journalists, to stay aware so that the vested quarter cannot destroy the victory achieved by the sacrifice of the students and mass people. Along with that, a decision was made to bring out a victory procession on behalf of the Journalists’ Union immediately. Moreover, decision was made to determine a place for the permanent office of the organization.

President of the Journalists’ Union GM Hiru presided over the meeting. They discussed about their next action after the fall of Sheikh Hasina government. General Secretary of the Journalists’ Union Mahfizul Islam Ripon moderated the meeting.

Md Sadakat Ali Khan, Mahbubul Haque Khan, Qurban Ali Sohel, Abdus Salam, Belal Hossain Raju, Md Abu Kawsar, Rakibul Islam Abed, Belal Hossain Joy, Sayem Siddiqi, Rubel Sarkar and all the members of the executive committee were present at the meeting. 

The president of the meeting concluded the meeting after thanking everyone as there was no further agenda of the meeting.
