Bollywood actress Dia Mirza has been selected as a jury member for the All Living Things Environmental Film Festival (ALT EFF), which is set to run from November 22 to December 8. The festival will present 72 films, with 38 making their India premieres. These films will focus on critical environmental issues such as climate change and wildlife conservation.

The festival will hold screenings at 55 locations across small towns and villages in India, along with 45 showings in 14 major cities. This initiative aims to raise awareness about environmental concerns, particularly at the grassroots level.

Dia Mirza expressed her excitement about participating in the festival. She said, "I am honored to be part of ALT EFF, a festival that not only showcases films but also starts conversations about sustainability and the future of our planet. Cinema has the power to evoke empathy and inspire change, and I am eager to see these incredible films."

Kunal Khanna, the festival director, stressed the importance of engaging communities outside major cities in these discussions. He highlighted that AI is being used to translate foreign language films into regional languages to make the festival more inclusive.

"With 38 India premieres and 72 remarkable films, we aim to bring environmental issues to the forefront and inspire audiences everywhere," Khanna said. The ALT EFF continues to be a platform for raising awareness on sustainability and environmental protection through the power of cinema.
