The country's biggest pop culture festival "Dhaka Summer Con 2023" was held for three days at Hall 3 and Hall 4 of Dhaka's International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) on July 13, 14 and 15 with various exciting activities.
Eight bands performed on the first day of the three-day concert on July 13 (Thursday). These are, 'Old Dhaka Diaries', 'Feroze Jong', 'Indalo', 'Bangla Five', 'Level Five', 'Wounded', 'Odd Signature', 'Dads in the Park'. Apart from this, there were various events including Hatirpool Sessions, K-Pop Performance, Rayhan Islam Shubho.
The activities of second day included group cosplay, special cosplay group performance, panel discussion by Cartoon People and many more. Apart from this, K-pop performance and rap battle were also special attractions on this day. Meanwhile, 'Messianic Era', 'Naive', 'Encore', 'Subconscious', 'Aftermath', 'Sonar Bangla Circus', 'Ashes', 'Bramhaputra', 'Cryptic Fate' and 'Artcell' graced the stage by performing in concert.
On the last day of the event, the bands 'Relative', 'Mechanix', 'Karnival', 'Black', 'Arbovirus', 'Avoid Rafa' and 'Warfaze' performed. Along with them, AK Rahul, Black Zang and Shafayat also performed.
A panel discussion was held in the presence of Ahsan Habib on the occasion of 45 years of Unmad. There were also K-pop and hip-pop performances. The cosplay competition is evaluated by foreign experienced judges.
Dhaka Summer Con 2023 convenor and co-founder of MediaQuest Bangladesh Tariqul Sumon said, “Dhaka Summer Con has turned into a meeting place for all the popular music bands of the country. Not just a concert, this is the country's biggest pop culture festival. The participation of the youth in Cosplay, Comicon, K-pop and every other sector of the event was eye-catching.” This festival is organized by the country's one of the top event management and public relations company MediaQuest Bangladesh.
