Two international flights have made an emergency landing at Osmani International Airport in Sylhet after failing to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka due to thick fog.
They made the emergency landing on Saturday morning, according to a local media report.
Of the flights, both of which belong to US-Bangla Airlines’, one, from Qatar’s Doha, landed at Sylhet airport at 8:55 am and another, from China’s Guangzhou, landed at the same airport at 9:44 am.
With the latest two, a total of four Dhaka-bound flights made an emergency landing in Sylhet in a span of four days due to the foggy weather.
Hafiz Ahmad, director at Sylhet airport, said that both the flights that made an emergency landing on Saturday morning took off for Dhaka around 10:40 am as Dhaka airport skies cleared.
