The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Monday launched dental unit at the university central medial on the campus to provide multidisciplinary medical treatment for the students.
IU vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the newly included dental unit at the first floor of university medical around 10:30am.
Pro-vice chancellor Prof Dr M Shahinoor Rahman, Treasurer Prof Dr M Selim Toha attended the inaugural event as special guests with chief medical officer in charge doctor SM Nazrul Islam conducted the programme.
IU register in charge SM Abdul Latif, Transport administrator Prof Dr Rezuanul Islam, student’s advisor Prof Dr Paresh Chandra Barman, IU medical doctor Ashrafuzzaman Nuton attended the programme, among others.
Two dentists, Doctor Masum Ali and Rakibul Islam Rajib appointed as the part-time doctor for the sector and major components of the unit including Air Compressor, Soccer Machine, Scalar Machine, Light Cure Machine set up here.
