Victoria Kjaer Theilvig from Denmark has been crowned the 73rd Miss Universe, marking a historic first win for her country. The 21-year-old entrepreneur, dancer, and aspiring lawyer outshone 126 contestants at the grand finale held at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City on Saturday night.

The crown was passed to Victoria by outgoing Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios, with Nigeria’s Chidimma Adetshina named the first runner-up. María Fernanda Beltran of Mexico, Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand, and Ileana Márquez of Venezuela were the second, third, and fourth runners-up, respectively.
Victoria first gained global recognition in 2022 when she reached the Top 20 in Miss Grand International. Nicknamed the "Human Barbie" for her striking resemblance to the iconic doll, she became a crowd favorite with her poise and charm.
For the finale, Victoria wore a stunning bright pink gown adorned with intricate sequins and beaded off-the-shoulder straps. She completed her look with sheer pink gloves and soft curls, exuding timeless elegance. The event featured a vibrant national costume showcase, swimwear, and evening gown rounds, narrowing down the finalists from over 70 countries. Hosted by Mario Lopez and former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo, the evening included a performance by singer Robin Thicke.
Miss Universe's official Instagram page celebrated Victoria’s win, stating, "A new era has dawned! May your reign inspire women worldwide."
