A 5-member high level delegation led by Professor Aman Than Oo, head of School and Dean, School of Science, Engineering and Build Environment of Deakin University, Australia visited Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) on Tuesday for research and academic collaboration with graduate and undergraduate EEE programmes of IUB.
This is the 3rd follow up meeting within 4 years between the two universities. The primary works on collaboration started back in 2016 when Dr Md Abdur Razzak, associate professor of EEE department of IUB visited Deakin University Geelong Campus in Melbourne, Australia where he shared and presented the research works of green energy research center of IUB over there. The 2nd meeting was held at IUB when Professor Aman visited the labs and research facilities of EEE department of IUB in 2017. Following the visit of professor Aman, two faculty members from Deakin University visited IUB and presented their research works in 2018. Following up all these collaborative activities, the 3rd meeting was held at IUB on Tuesday when a 5-member delegation visited IUB from Deakin University.
The visiting team met with the Vice Chancellor (acting) Professor Milan Pagon, Dean of School of Engineering and Computer Science (SECS) and Head and Senior faculty members of EEE department of IUB. Finally, the 5-member team visited the laboratories, research facilities, library and other facilities of the university. Both IUB and Deakin University is expected to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and memorandum of agreement (MoA) for academic and research collaboration between the two parties targeting the graduate and undergraduate EEE programs of IUB, which will be helpful both for our students and faculty members of IUB.
