In a recent interview with Vogue Singapore, Deepika Padukone discussed the values instilled by her parents, Prakash Padukone and Ujjala Padukone. She expressed her desire to pass on the same principles to her future children with actor-husband Ranveer Singh.

The actress praised her upbringing, stating, “When I meet the people I have grown up with — my aunts, uncles, family friends — they always mention how I haven’t changed one bit. That says a lot about our upbringing... In this industry, fame and money make it easy to get carried away. But no one treats me like a celebrity at home. I am a daughter and a sister first. I don’t want that to change. My family keeps me grounded, and Ranveer and I hope to teach the same values in our children.”

Responding to a question about motherhood, Deepika expressed enthusiasm, saying, “Absolutely. Ranveer and I love children. We look forward to the day when we will start our own family.”

The couple, who celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Belgium last November, has been a fixture in Bollywood since tying the knot on November 14, 2018, at Italy's Lake Como.

Their journey began on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, followed by collaborations in Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat.

As for their upcoming projects, Deepika Padukone is set to star in the sci-fi action film Kalki 2898 AD alongside Prabhas. Additionally, she will feature in Siddharth Anand's aerial action film Fighter, opposite Hrithik Roshan, scheduled for release on January 25, 2024.

Furthermore, she is confirmed for Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is gearing up for an action-packed film, details of which are yet to be revealed.
