The Election Commission (EC) has extended theapplication deadline for local observers to observe the 12th JatiyaSangsad elections to December 10.
The deadline for application of local observers was November 25, according to a letter of EC signed on Monday by its director (public relation) MdShafiqul Islam.
Earlier, the Commission asked 67 registered local observer agencies to apply to the EC within November 25, mentioning the names of constituencies where they are interested to observe in the next general elections.Now the agencies which are yet to apply for monitoring the polls can apply till 4 pm of December 10 next, the EC letter said.
